In this age of out sourcing to China, Karakoram is dedicated to building our product in the United States. Ninety four percent of the parts in the Karakoram Split30 splitboard bindings are made in the USA, with 91 percent being made in Washington state. We assemble every Karakoram splitboard binding system in our shop in North Bend, WA. Every person involved with the assembly of Karakoram products is a passionate snowboarder, backcountry enthusiast or outdoor adventurer. We want our products to perform at the highest standards because we are the end users just like our customers.
Karakoram is proud to introduce the next progression of our revolutionary Split30 Splitboard System- the Split30 Super Light (SL) Binding. The Split30SL is a high performance backcountry tool designed to minimize weight while improving riding and touring performance of your splitboard. Designed from Carbon Fiber, Titanium, High Strength Aluminum Alloys, and Dupont Zytel, the Split30SL weighs 200+ grams less than its predecessor. New features include a negative forward lean setting allowing you to lengthen your stride, a quick turn forward lean adjuster- rotate 90° to turn forward lean on and off, and a raised heelcup sidewall that furthers the integration between your boot and binding to increasing the power transferred from your boot to the edge of your ski.
